After a lingering illness of six months of more, Mrs. John R. Crane died on Thursday night of last week. The funeral was held at the Christian Church Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock, conducted by Elder W. T. Warbinton, and was largely attended. Eva Ray, daughter of Jefferson and Elsie Ray, was born in Fountain County, two miles west of here, September 12, 1863, and was married to John R. Crane on April 26, 1882. She joined the Christian Church when sixteen years old and had been a member of the church here about six years, joining under the ministration of Elder J. P. Trotter, and ever lived a consistent Christian life. She leaves a husband, two brothers, three sisters and four children to mourn her loss. - s
